We will look for answers to the questions of what kind of car to buy in the Uno, one of Fiat’s best-selling models in the 90s. We will also include Fiat uno review, test drive and user commentary.

Italian brand Fiat started selling the B-segment hatchback vehicle UNO in Italy in the 80s with the Uno 60 S model. Although the 60s is UNO, which we know as appearance, it is actually a very different model that is not kept anyway. However, the Unos we know started to be produced and sold in 1993 and continued to be sold in our country until 2001. Later, it was replaced by the Fiat Palio model.

What kind of car is Fiat UNO?

In the 90s, it was preferred especially by small families and ladies. These models are called the 70 s or 70 series, which means a higher version. In 1996, power steering was added. In 1995, it started to take place with single point injection ie engines. The Uno is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission. Automatic transmission is not sold in Turkey. Under its hood is a 1.4-liter gasoline engine. It is an engine that produces 71 horsepower and 90 Nm of torque. It is an LPG compatible engine and has a fuel consumption of 9.5 liters in the city and 6 liters outside the city.

Fiat Uno User Review

I needed a second car home to commute to work in the city. Because it is a small and popular model, I bought a 1996 Fiat Uno and used it for 2 years. I’ve never ridden this car before and I had the opportunity to ride it when I first owned it myself. First of all, the inside turned out to be wider than I expected. The width of the front side is beautiful. But the rear legroom is somewhat narrow. For example, when I adjust the front seats according to myself, who is 1.80 tall, I sit with a squeeze when I sit in the back. The luggage compartment volume is not so large. Hard plastic material was used in places such as the front chest and door interiors. However, cracking like Tofaşlar is not so easy. The engine handles performance. But when there are 3 adults in the car, he has a very hard time going uphill. Also its fuel is slightly more in proportion to its dimensions. I went a long way a few times and didn’t encounter a problem. Since it is higher than six places, it provides convenience on village roads. The handling is not very good, it is necessary to be very careful when entering corners, especially on wet roads. Because he throws his back very quickly. And it’s not a car of high speeds. it gets a lot of wind under it, since it’s high from six places. This leads to a decrease in handling. Already when the speed of 120 km / h passes, it starts to navigate the road. It is highly affected by side winds.

Is it possible to buy a Fiat Uno?

Yes, it cannot be said that it is a very high quality and good car. However, it is quite sufficient for urban use. Once the spare parts are readily available everywhere and are very cheap. It is not such a problematic car. For 2 years, apart from small expenses, he did not take me to the industry much. The second-hand market is very strong. I sold it 4 days after I put it up for sale. Before buying, you should take care to take a clean one as in every car.
